TEX 한 日

2012/11/30

I moved to Seoul last year!

So, I finally left Japan after 6 years and moved to Seoul with my boyfriend and then we got married.
I guess it's been a pretty busy year!

I took level 5 and 6 of Korean at 연대한국어학당 and graduated in June. After that I focused on wedding preparations and we had a traditional Korean wedding ceremony on the 6th of October.

It was a lot more fun than a church wedding I think! I totally recommend it to anyone else that plans on getting married in Korea. We had ours at 성균관 because it was the largest and most beautiful location. The banquet hall is also right next door, so it was very convenient for the 200+ guests to get around.

It was a very special event and I know we'll never forget it, but my husband and I both agree, we'll never, EVER get married again! Once is totally enough for a lifetime...
While organizing a wedding is stressful and a lot of work, organizing an international wedding with guests from 3 different countries and all speaking different languages... is just insane.

The end of my 5 months as a housewife is up now tho, because I will be starting work on Monday, working for Simplex Internet, 카페24 working as the head of the American branch.
I'm really looking forward to getting back to work. It's been 1 year and 2 months since I had a job, and while being a student is ok, nothing beats being a bread earner!

Hopefully this will b a career that I can continue until we eventually move to the US. We came to Korea in 2011 with plans to move in 10 years, so we have 9 years left. I wonder when my husband will get around to learning English...
